This year the FoodPro 2017 show will be bigger and better than ever. There will be six zones to explore in this year's show, each dedicated to the various steps in the food manufacturing process: Ingredients, Food Science & Technology, Processing Equipment, Plant Equipment, Packaging and the new Supply Chain Integrity Zone.

FoodPro 2017 runs from July 16th - 19th at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour, Sydney NSW.

Did you know that overlaminating your product labels can offer a variety of finishes such as a shiny glossy look or a flat matt?

Overlamination films give your label and tag stocks extra protection and water-proofing when used on synthetic stocks and extra water resistance on paper stocks... and there's also the added benefit of giving paper stock extra strength and tear resistance. All of these finishes help to make your labels more durable and appealing.

So what kind of overlaminate would be best for your labels and tags? We have several options available, our most common three are:

• Clear Gloss Overlaminate  - high gloss with a shiny finish
• Clear Matt Overlaminate - matt with a satin finish
• Soft Touch Super Matt Laminate - no reflection with a soft touch finish

<link product id primera-lx1000-colour-label-printer>LX1000 is Primera's newest and most economical to operate colour label printer. It utilises the latest in high-resolution inkjet technology to print brilliant, colourful labels for your products, boxes and packaging.

The LX1000 currently ships with a free copy of Bartender Ultralite software for Windows, and includes a  starter roll and starter CMYK ink set.

• Individual ink tanks for each colour let you replace only the colours that need replacing. You'll save time and money on every job you print.
• Printed labels can include photos, graphics, illustrations and text - even high-resolution linear or two-dimensional bar codes. 
• Print labels when and where you need them in just the quantities you can actually use.

Short run custom labels and personalised labels are printed fast and efficiently, helping you to increase the production of your products. You can even operate several LX1000 printers from one PC as your production volumes grow.

Whether you print just a few labels at a time or thousands, they'll be printed at speeds you probably never before thought was possible from a desktop label printer.

The LX1000 Colour Printer is able to print labels that are BS5609 compliant (suitable for marine exposure for chemical drums) using special ink and label stock for that purpose.

The Primera LX1000 offers a great low cost solution to the Primera LX2000.  The Primera LX1000 uses Primera LX2000 inks and printheads so this means you can run both Primera LX1000 and Primera LX2000 label printers in the same facility and share the same inks and printheads.    Printing costs are the same between both models however the LX2000 includes Ethernet and WIFI connectivity, Apple Mac drivers and slightly higher print speed.   Both models are available from Label Power - your colour label printing experts.
