Major enhancements include:

• Triple connectivity at no extra cost for the GK-Series models.  These printers will come standard with Serial, USB and Centronics parallel offering greater value to customers.

• G-series new auto-sensing EPL/ZPL (programming languages) serial port to automatically detect whether an EPL or ZPL serial cable is plugged in, and set the printer to function accordingly.

• G-Series improved image quality and consistency on standard media as well as tough-to-print labels, receipts and tags.

• The original parallel communications port on the GX-Series models has been replaced with a Centronics parallel port and this port has also been added to the GK-Series models.  This more common, standardised parallel port is the same as on the 2844/2844-Z and 3842/3844-Z Series, so customers can reuse their current cables when migrating to the enhanced G-Series.
